The first time I migrated my doodles I put them on the next empty spread that was available in my bullet journal. I only migrate the ones I like, of course :) Then when I’ve filled out a page or two I migrate the doodles into my bullet journal. Or to try things that I’m not quite sure will look any good. This way I feel free to try a lot of different styles. My process is that I start with doodling a rough sketch in a separate notebook, a notebook I have only for scribbling stuff in. I also get ideas from many other places like work, reading magazines, or just plain old sitting down with a blank piece of paper in front of me and start doodling. I get a whole lot of inspiration and ideas from other bullet journals that I save on my Pinterest boards. ![]() And I like to come up with new ideas, new ways to write things or decorate my collections, hence my need for some ’Visual Inspiration Collections’. Part of the fun with the bullet journal is to ’decorate’ it, to make it pretty and make it your own. I constantly doodle ideas that I get for headers, dividers, hand lettering styles and so on because I probably won’t remember them when I’m creating a new collection, daily and so on.
